Jesse Nuese is a former 82nd Airborne paratrooper turned defense-technology researcher. His career runs through cyber threat intelligence at Recorded Future, geopolitical strategy at Boeing, and fieldwork across Ukraine and the Indo-Pacific. He is a doctoral researcher at King’s College London, writing Innovation Under Fire.

Jesse Nuese researches defense innovation from the field. He served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, deploying to Afghanistan. That was the first discipline behind a career spent translating between the operational, the academic, and the commercial.

His work has run through cyber threat intelligence at Recorded Future, geopolitical strategy at Boeing, and a veteran-led advisory practice built across New York, London, Kyiv, and Taipei. He is a co-founder of the New York National Security Forum and convenes SoCal Deep Tech Week, and sits on the Alumni Advisory Board of the Warrior Scholar Project, a program he came through himself before teaching in more than a dozen of its bootcamps.

He is a doctoral researcher at King’s College London, where his dissertation, Innovation Under Fire, examines how defense innovation actually happens under wartime conditions: the improvised, contested process by which new capabilities move from workshop to front line.
